Persian Shield

Persian Shield

“Persian Shield” banner in the summer. Created by Steven Durland. 48″x66″, part of the Woodland Banners permanent installation. Persian Shield is a shrub-like plant that tolerates shade well so it’s something we can plant in our very shady yard. It produces these iridescent purple and green leaves. Unfortunately, most folks assume it’s just a regular leaf that I’ve manipulated in Photoshop. Not true.
